Stomorska is the oldest of Šolta's ports whose roots date back to the 16th century. Since ancient times, the village has been home to the great sailors that today own a complete fleet of sailing boats that were once used for the transport of wine and other riches as well as tourism, fishing is the most developed commercial enterprise. There is a wide selection of fish on offer every day, and there is a fish farm very near to the village. Fishermen’s nights are organised throughout the summer in Stomorska and for which Stomorska is famous and the restaurants and taverns are always full.
