Crveno jezero is located 1.5 km north-west of the town and is a true karstic phenomenon.
Its rocky shores are almost vertical and mostly red in colours hence the lake being named after them. A few expeditions have tried to find out the lake's true depth, and the bottom located 6 m below sea level was photographed, however, the lowest point has still not been established.
