Klis municipality Day is celebrated on August, 16th every year when the festival of St. Roch is also celebrated. A solemn high mass takes place followed by a procession which passes through the village. The evening part of the programme is held in front of the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Klis where traditionally a theatre performance is held. A festival is then held on Klis –- Megdan, with a rich musical programme and the participation of famous entertainers, a fashion show and a wide range of Klis delicacies.

Besides Municipality Day, almost traditionally, an exhibition of visual artists from the Klis area is opened together with meetings of klapas on Klis and with many other events organized by the Association of Klis Uskoci (fugitives).
