Inhabitation of Promajna started in the 17th century. It developed from a small fishing village inhabited by Bast and Podgora inhabitants. It is only 4 km distant from Baška Voda. In the middle of the 20th century, Promajna was discovered by tourists. Quiet place, beautiful long pebble beaches and clean sea favoured the development of the family tourism. During the summer months are organized fishing evenings with Dalmatian songs, fried fish and a drop of a good wine.
