Trg hrvatskog narodnog preporoda (the Square of Croatian National Revival) has been situated in the centre of Jelsa since the 16th century.
On its western side is a spring of potable water that has been used by inhabitants since ancient times. The centre of the square is dominated by a fountain built in 1934.
