Vepric is a Marian sanctuary near to Makarska, established in 1908. It was established by the bishop of Split-Makarska, Juraj Carić who also wanted to be buried here. The sanctuary is also known as Our Lady of Lourdes sanctuary because of the natural cave and the vegetation around recall the Marian sanctuary of Lourdes A chapel with a sacristy, an altar and confessionals were built in the sanctuary which is home for spiritual practices, Via Crucis stations and processional paths. Thanks to its particular characteristics, the sanctuary is visited throughout the year and especially during the pilgrim days- on the February 11th, the March 25th, August 15th and September 7th and 8th.
