The rich history of Kaštela was manifested through numerous buildings that today represent the town cultural heritage. The first museum and gallery institution on the Kaštela area was founded in 1988. Museum was firstly situated in the historical core of Kaštel Novi – in the Cippico tower. On that location the Museum was till 1999 when it modifies the registration type and became the Museum of the Town Kaštela thus moving to the new facilities. Since then, the new museum location is the Vitturi castle in Kaštel Lukšić. Kaštela also have numerous associations and institutions whose activities enrich the cultural life of the town during the whole year.
