The real Riviera of Kaštela starts from Kaštel Štafilić. The promenade in the shade of tamarisk and pine trees extends along the seafront, where beaches and sandy coves alternate, divided by distinguished ledges. The aroma of sea grass, pine resin and the singing of cicadas accompany the walker for kilometres along the seashore. Gentle coves are situated one after another, made green by small woods or old trees, providing picturesque scenes as far as the eye can see enriched by small fortified hamlets, on raised positions between the sea and the continent.
