The Grapčeva Cave is the cradle of Hvar's culture and civilization and the most important prehistoric find from the early Stone Age (Neolithic), 5000 - 4000 years B.C. and one of the oldest Adriatic and Mediterranean archaeological sites. It is situated at an altitude of 239 metres asl and consists of one small room and one large room surrounded by corridors and smaller rooms, adorned with stalactites and stalagmites.
