Dalmatian old house in village Topići

The Village of Topići is situated on the slopes of Biokovo, some 3 km away from Baška Voda. It was already inhabited in the 17th century, most probably due to its closeness to the drinking water spring whilst today it is a small tourist excursion spot offering accommodation in the old stone houses. Topići is also well known for its excellent bread home-baked under the lid, cheese and prosciutto so it is an ideal resting place for tired hikers. The original Dalmatian architecture is excellently preserved whilst a beautiful view over the islands and the sea can be seen from the slopes of mount Biokovo, whilst above the village, is a monument to hiker Maximilian Mandl.
