Podaca is a tourist village situated on the northern part of the Riviera of Makarska, distant from the town of Makarska around 35 kilometres. It is situated along the Adriatic Highway, two kilometres on east of Zaostrog. Podaca consists of three hamlets: Kapeć, Viskovića vala and Ravanje with total 660 inhabitants. Inhabitants are primarily oriented toward tourism but they also do fishing, agriculture and olive-growing.
